Privacy Policy

Neon Pixel Studios is a small, independent studio in Australia. I build minimal, privacy-respecting apps and websites.

What Data I Collect

Website (Chinese Ninja)

  • Server logs: The Chinese Ninja website is hosted and delivered via Cloudflare (for example, Cloudflare Pages). Cloudflare may process transient technical data (such as IP address, user agent, and request metadata) to operate the service, improve performance, and protect against abuse. Please refer to Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details.
  • Emails: If you email me, I will receive your email address and the contents of your message for the purpose of replying and providing support.

Apps (Chinese Ninja)

  • Learning Data: our learning progress, reviews, and app settings are stored locally on your device. If you are signed into iCloud, this data may also sync via iCloud so it can be accessed on your other devices. This data is private to you and is not accessible by Neon Pixel Studios.
  • In-App Purchases: Payments are processed securely by Apple. Neon Pixel Studios does not receive or store your payment details.
  • Crash Reports & Analytics: I may receive crash reports or diagnostic information via Apple’s tools to help improve app stability and performance. This information is typically aggregated and is not intended to identify you personally.

Email subscriptions & product updates (optional)

  • Email address: If you choose to join a mailing list or sign up for product updates (for example, from within an app welcome screen), your email address will be collected so I can send you occasional updates about Chinese Ninja and other Neon Pixel Studios apps.
  • Consent & unsubscribe: mail updates are sent on the basis of your explicit consent. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
  • Email service provider: Your email address is stored with a trusted email service provider solely for the purpose of sending and managing these updates (for example, delivery, list management, and unsubscribe requests).

Cookies & analytics

This website does not set marketing cookies. If I add lightweight, privacy-focused analytics in the future, this page will be updated. Any analytics (if added) will be configured to minimise data collection and to use anonymised and aggregated reporting where possible.

Sharing

I do not sell your data. I may use trusted processors to run infrastructure and deliver services (for example, Cloudflare for website delivery, Apple iCloud for syncing where enabled, and an email service provider for newsletters). These providers process data under their own terms and policies, and only for the purposes described above.

Your choices

  • App learning data: You can reset or delete your learning data at any time within the app (where available).
  • iCloud sync: You can manage or delete app data stored in iCloud via your Apple ID / iCloud settings.
  • Email updates: You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting me directly.
